Another great post!
For me, I struggled all my life with "what I want to be when I grow up". It wasn't until I slowed down, began to take care of myself (that began with eating well and exercising) and value myself and what I had to contribute to the world that I discovered what to do with the rest of my life. Well, I'm not sure about the rest of my life - but I'm heading in the direction I want to go and it's an exciting, scary, and big learning adventure. Being an entrepreneur is constantly pushing me to go past the limitations I put on myself and to play bigger. When it stopped being all about me my life changed.

Hi Lisa,
I love it! What a great post......... I am all about helping people eat in the right kinds and amounts of food to support body and spirit.
What I think: I think people crave certain foods because the simple carbs in them are addicting. And those foods are so easy to grab and eat that it perpetuates their consumption. Who wants to eat broccoli when your taste buds are so used to sweet, salty, fatty foods? So people continue to eat those foods and to break the cycle there needs to be an easy, healthy, and tasty way to eat the right foods. And helped through education (us sharing what we know) to help people make the switch to real food. For me, I have to be really careful about carbohydrates. I could eat carbs all day. So my focus is on helping people eat more green veges because that's what worked for me.

You go Lisa-girl. With your passion, you are a guaranteed success. Just be sure to take some down time, otherwise you'll burn out. I have got to make time to come up to Hardwick.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for these posts. It was very informative for me as I too am just starting out in a food business making kale chips. I liked your reminder to remember and thank all the people who are supporting me and making it possible for me to grow my business. You are one of those people, the post about margin vs markup was helpful.

Thank you, Janice, I appreciate your suggestion.
Do you shop there? If so, please feel free to ask them for Yummy Yammy, and give them my email address: lisa (at) yummyyammy.com. Then I can reply with the info to order from me directly, as I ship UPS to stores.
At the Fancy Food Show I did meet a lovely small, regional wholesale distributor who services NYC, and I would love it if they pick us up this fall, but no guarantees yet...

Love your products. Do you market to NYC? I know Grace's market on Third Ave
and 71st would be a really good fit for you. Small, but very health conscious and
always packed with NY foodies; look it up and give it a try.
